Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using wusir.tech, the WUSIR app, or our API, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. What the service is — and isn't

WUSIR checks an image against its registry of photos signed on capture by the WUSIR camera, finds look-alike edits of registered photos, and reads labels in the file's metadata (for example C2PA Content Credentials). It does not tell whether an image was generated by AI, and it gives no probability that it was. On the website, an optional heatmap estimates which areas of a photo may have been edited; it is an estimate, not proof. A missing registration does not prove an image is fake, and a label does not prove it is real or fake. A WUSIR result is information, not a certified fact, and can be incomplete. Do not treat it as sole, definitive proof of an image's origin in a legal, journalistic, academic, or otherwise high-stakes context. Use it as one signal among others, and apply human judgment.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload or submit content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or ours;
• use the service to harass, defame, or violate the rights of others;
• attempt to overload, scrape at abusive volume, or disrupt the API or website;
• attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or copy our systems or the registry in bulk;
• submit content to the Provenance Registry that you don't have the right to register, or falsify device/location data.

We may suspend or block access for use that violates these terms.

4. Community content — zero tolerance

Members can post photos, captions and comments, and write a profile. You are responsible for what you post. WUSIR has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You must not post:

• nudity or sexual content;
• hate speech, or content that attacks people for who they are;
• harassment, bullying or threats;
• violent or graphic content;
• anything illegal, or spam.

Every post, comment and profile can be reported from the app, and any member can be blocked. We review reports within 24 hours and remove the content, the account, or both. Content reported by several members is hidden until we have reviewed it.

5. Provenance Registry

Registry entries combine data that is cryptographically attested by your device (the file hash and device signature) with data you self-report and that we do not independently verify (capture time claims beyond the signed bundle, GPS coordinates, and any user ID you choose to attach). We display both, clearly labelled, to anyone who looks up a matching file hash. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you self-report.

6. No warranty

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, WUSIR — including decisions made in reliance on a check result. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Intellectual property

The WUSIR name, logo, website, app, and software are our property or that of our licensors. You retain all rights to the images you submit; submitting an image for a check does not transfer any ownership to us, and — per our Privacy Policy — we don't keep a copy of it.

9. Age requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use WUSIR. When you create an account, you confirm that you are at least 16. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will close it and delete its data.

10. Termination

You may stop using WUSIR at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or of applicable law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or the use of WUSIR is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic. If you are a consumer in the EU, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

12. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
